Sophiea's Quilt

I have not been good about keeping a blog. Like anything it takes practice and I see this as a way to keep track of the quilts or other projects. Right now my quilts have been presents and Sophiea a good friend was celebrating a 40ish birthday. I use Basic Grey PB&J fabric, which I was so surprise that I really like the collection. that I went and bought another jelly roll of the same fabric. It was also my first attempt using a jelly roll, I heard of the jelly roll race. Still being a rookie to quilting and it seemed quick, yet mine was not completed in a day or two, it took about a week and a half. I used You Tube for a lot of guidance.

Mom's Quilt

I have completed my second quilt. This was made for my Mom for Christmas. It has sentimental value in my Mom started quilting in her 50's, then stop because of early on set Dementia. I'm at about the same age. I made her a disappearing nine patch that I found online. I also just learned to use the quilt frame at the local quilt store. I started with loops and then it progressed to hearts.

 

 

I decided to name my quilts for whom the quilt is being made for, so this is Mom Quilt!
